new exhibition
Click here to enlage pictureOn the 5th of September the gallery Angelika Blaeser opens her new rooms in Dusseldorf Carlstadt with the exhibition „7 mortal sins“ from Andreas Noßmann.

The unusual draftsman creates in his cycle about the main vices a relentless picture of a provoked society desolate by all good geniuses.

In provoking, ironic, partly also stupefying crude pictures he is able to lend to the omnipresent subject of the vice-like traits like greed, genus's addiction, gluttony or sluggishness expression. In view of these day events a topical subject. From the mortal sins of the Middle Ages modern virtues have become.

The works drawn in masterly manner connect seemlessly to the tradition of the big magicians of the pencil: from Wilhelm Busch, Janssen, Goya to Hrdlicka. Andreas Nossmann, born in 1962, will represent since the 80s of the gallery blaeser.
